01Our Story

It started with a first ride, the way it always does.

Kids' bikes had turned into spec sheets. So we built the opposite in Dubai: two bikes, obsessed over — and we put the silliest word we could find on the badge. On purpose.

1. Playfully quaint or fanciful behaviour; lighthearted unpredictability.

2. (as used around here) Feet off the pedals, downhill, laughing at nothing.

When "impressive to adults" and "joyful to kids" disagree — the kids win.

02Designed for Dubai, Not Just Sold Here

Most kids' bikes are drawn for European springs.

Ours start from July in the Gulf — and that changes every decision on the bike.

Heat is a design input

Grips, saddles and finishes picked for real Gulf summers.

Sand happens

Dust and desert weekends are the normal case, not the exception.

With only two bikes to our name, "close enough" never leaves the workshop.

06The People Behind It

A family business, in the literal sense.

Whimsy is an in-house brand of the Abbas Bin Haider Group — a Dubai family business since 1979. When something's not right with a bike, it lands on a desk with the family name on the door.
